Samantha Thavasa (Petit Choice) Pastel Blue wallet.

I'm a big fan of Samantha Thavasa products and I always loved their stuff since 5 - 6 years ago. So is been awhile since I change my wallet as my pink Samantha Vega wallet was holding pretty well. The only thing that I was probably annoyed with was the coin zip which is always caught with the outer zip. Nonetheless Im really satisfied with it for the past 2 years of using it. Currently the one thing that is peeling is the bottom sides of the wallet but is minor.

There is quite a number of significant memories with this wallet, as is the first one I bought from Japan and it was on a huge discount. It also been with me for half of my life in Japan.

The wallet that is above it was bought in a shop at Kyoto Aeon mall that reminds me of Samantha Thavasa. I wanted a smaller wallet to bring with me when I go travelling or back to my home country. Since having a big wallet is quite annoying when you want to travel lightly.

Taken from Samantha Thavasa Blog
The new wallet I bought this time round was from Samantha Thavasa, Petit Choice selection and is the Flower Mochifu Pastel Blue. (【クリスマス限定】 フラワーモチ) Which is apparently 2016 Christmas limited. Since it was a Christmas special, they had a special promotion and discount on it too. Really love how my birthday is so close to the Christmas sales.

The promotion was a mini discount and 2 free gifts which includes a letter charm and a cute pompom to match.

This year, My boyfriend Vincent also surprised me by making a trip down in secret and was able to celebrate my birthday with me and my friends for a few days. He told me that he will get me this wallet as my birthday present! Since there was a Christmas special promotion, I choose this blue wallet. Thank you so much love!!
(Him coming down was a bigger present then anything else XD)

As I said from the start that the only thing that bothered me was the zip from my previous wallet. This time I choose the one with the button and going to see if is better.
What I noticed from this wallet is that it has twice as much card holders and pockets than the previous one. It had so much more than I was even confuse to how I should organize my stuff.

The Wallet itself have the usual coin pouch and instead of the usual 3 it has 4 partition. It also have 6 slots in the wallet excluding the card slots. (That is really a lot) So it was somehow a big upgrade of space from the pink Samantha Vega wallet.

The thing that I really love about Samantha's product is that their leather is the kind that will flake in a year. I was able to maintain my pink wallet really well even thought I feel I treated it unkindly at times. So to my pink wallet, Thanks for treating me so well in the past 2 years and I will still used you for other purpose in the near future~

Just realize that this wallet matches with Tokage, and currently the number of blue things is increasing.

2017 Fukubukuro (福袋) aka Lucky bags

New year day is a time for celebration and many times shops all over the world is close. However is not that same for Japan, in fact is a massive shopping spree for many people and shops are having big sales. Many brands and shops also sell Fukubukuro (福袋) aka Lucky bags. These bags are usually sold on the day itself or pre-ordered one month earlier. It gotten so famous recently that most famous, popular brands lucky bags gets sold out within minutes to hours.

A really good example is Liz Lisa luggage lucky bag. Which was sold really fast! I didn't had time to think and it was already gone. So this year, I didn't get any pack from Liz Lisa. (The Liz Lisa shop in Kyoto has also closed down, sadly)

Many lucky bags contents are usually a secret but worth 3 - 5 times the amount that you paid for. This is why so many girls love to buy this because is a steal! Sometimes, the brand so tell you like the content that you will get inside or might get but in different colour.

For this post, I'm mainly going to show the first look of the lucky bags that I manage to buy this year. I am going to do a full post of each lucky pack in the future for a better look on each bag.

The one bag that I manage to pre-order online was the AnkRouge Lucky pack. At their website, they give you a hint on the items you will receive in different colors.

For Example

So this what I got in my bag once is arrived on the new year day!

Another Lucky Bag I manage to get at Kyoto station was Earth music & ecology.
This was also advertise on their website.
For ¥10,000 → you get over ¥50,000 worth of items

Last year I got their casual bag instead as I wanted more casual clothes for school. So for this year I went for the sweet collection.

What I got inside the bag, as the coat is a sure given.

Another bag that I manage to buy was Fi.n.t Lucky bag which I also did last year.
I really like their clothes, so I decided to get it.

As said on their website! I got it at Osaka station as I was passing by.

The last set I got was from Dreamv (夢展望) which was sold differently from other brands.
As Dreamv is an online shop with a few brands in one, the way they pack the lucky pack was that you can order a items in a set and then it will be discounted at the end.

For example, 1 coat, 1 one piece, 1 shoe and 1 accessory must all fit in the range of ¥16,200 → discounted to ¥10,800

There was also other sets which you were able to do like ¥19.600 and more. The hard thing about this is that the item you order must be within the range. So there was a lot of calculation to do.

Most of the items I got was from Mon lily, getting their clothes on a discount on top of a discount is such a good bargain to me.

There you have the first outlook on my lucky pack for 2017! Will be doing a more detailed post on each bag soon!

2016 Lookbook Recap

Recently I been trying to take more photos of my outfits and coordination as I told myself to not be lazy and dress up for school and outings. I always wanted to do it since I arrive in Japan but I became unmotivated, and so I end up just putting whatever I see and just go out of the door. Makes me feel no different from what I was that when I was back in Singapore, where I choose to dress comfortably instead of fashionably.

Somehow I know that my fashion is a mixture from whatever I like and magazine inspiration. For now I am currently leaning more towards Larmekei however sometimes I move towards to  himekaji or other styles which inspired me. The brands that I go for always make me sparkle every time I see something new, cute and sweet. Which I feel really painful for my wallet and I should really stop.

For 2017, I'm going to try more coordination on the current wardrobe I have and make use with everything I have instead of buying more clothes. I also want to push myself to do more lookbooks because Sonya gave suggested the idea and I think is really interesting. Time to make myself motivated and excited for this year and let it show with the outfits I wear.

I really need to thank my friends for being so patient with me and helping me to take these photos!

My favorite coordination from 2016 in no particular order

I really need to work on hairstyles to match my outfits.
Every time I tried to do it in the morning.. I end up being late for class.. *sigh*
